University of Iowa Office of the State Archaeologist's Cherie Haury-Artz will be participating in this family-friendly, all ages event for the 2020 Toolesboro Touchstones program series hosted by Louisa County Conservation.
Hike along all seven burial mounds at Toolesboro as we discover these ancient remnants. Learn to identify burial mounds and about burial mound etiquette. There will be a chance to visit a nearby carriage house to get a view of all of the burial mounds. Families or adults are encouraged to attend. There will be information available for all ages!
This program is part of the Toolesboro Touchstones: Twelve Monthly Programs for 2020 series generously supported by a grant from the Community Foundation of Louisa County.
This program is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged but not required, by April 15. To RSVP, email Lana at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 319-523-8381.
