To celebrate our 60th anniversary, the OSA is hosting an open house on October 4, 2019, in honor of 60 years of archaeological exploration and preservation in Iowa. The event, to be held our headquarters on the University of Iowa campus, will include ancient technology demonstrations, self-guided tours of the facility, artifact displays, traditional pioneer and Native American toys and games, refreshments, and more.

The public 60th anniversary event is timed to coincide with the office’s recognition of International Archaeology Day.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Elizabeth C Reetz in advance at 3193840561 or elizabeth-reetz@uiowa.edu.
