Angela Collins started at the OSA in 2002 as a field and lab technician, artifact illustrator, digital photographer, and graphic artist. Collins became a Research Archaeologist at the OSA after obtaining her M.A. from the University of Iowa Anthropology Program. She has experience in all levels of field work and has supervised crews of varying size in both the field and laboratory. She specializes in GIS mapping and graphic arts with digital publishing, public brochures, and interpretive sign design. Collins is an FAA-certified remote pilot and has completed thermographic analysis for small historic sites in Iowa utilizing a thermal camera mounted on one of OSA’s small uncrewed/unmanned aerial systems (sUAS).
